At Pinnacle College, we want to make sure that every student we enroll has a passion for music and sound. And, after you graduate, we want to make sure that the audio field (audio engineering, music production) remains your passion.
We begin this at the admissions process. To be considered for enrollment applicants must have a High School Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) certificate or a certificate that demonstrates they have met the requirements of the High School Proficiency Exam. For applicants under the age of 18, we will need written approval from a parent or guardian. We do, on limited bases, allow students who did not graduate from high school to enroll on Ability to Benefit (ATB) basis.
Additionally, because we want to make sure all applicants have the minimum Math and English proficiency to succeed, we administer an evaluation prepared by Wonderlic, a nationally recognized student and employee assessment company.
But it is not just about whether we think you are the right candidates for us; it is also about whether we are the right school for you. This is why part of the admissions process is to meet with an admissions director so you can ask questions directly related to the program of your interest. You will also be scheduled for an onsite tour, so you can evaluate our facilities—classrooms, labs, studios and live rooms.
Of course, you will be required to have a government issued picture ID and have a valid social security card. Because you are applying for post-secondary education, you must also be at least 16 years old.
You will enjoy the admissions process, which will give you a preview of what to expect: individualized attention and complete disclosure on the enrollment process. We encourage you (and your family) to stop by and talk to our admissions team. Welcome to Pinnacle College!
